My "Bestie" Demetri

On January 27, 2010 I lost my best friend, Demetri.

I was clipping his nails preparing him for a bath when I noticed a lump on his belly. Worried, I took him to the vet that evening.

The vet thought that he had a mass on his spleen and recommended surgery to see what it was and have it removed. I told him I loved him and that he was going to be ok. I left him there overnight to have surgery the next day.

That was the last time I got to hold him. The vet called me the next day at work and said it wasn't good. He found a massive tumor and several others scattered throughout his belly.

I couldn't talk. My best friend was going to die. I left work to go see him before having him put to rest. He was still under anesthesia when I got there, the vet recommended keeping him sedated.

There he lay, never to awake again. I made this video as a tribute to Demetri for all the joy he brought me throughout the years. He was only 4years 3 months old.
